Order & Shipping Information

Our Leather Products are made when you place your order.
Our Britannia Metal Jewelry & Hair Accessories are hand cast in small batches.
In General:
‣ Leather Products take 3-5 business days to make.
‣ Handbags and Messenger Bags take 5-7 days.
‣ Jewelry and Hair Accessories may ship in 1-2 days.

For products with customizations or personalizations please allow 7-14 days.

Please note that during our busiest season from November through January, production can be longer. Add a few days to the estimates here to be safe.

Your order will ship in its entirety once everything is ready.

Once your order is on it's way to you please reach out to your shipping carrier for tracking status and delivery information.

USPS and UPS options available. Charges? We charge the current available rates offered by USPS and UPS plus $1 for insurance.

All packages are insured.

Costs are determined at checkout, and you will be able to select the method that works for you.

*We do not incorporate VAT, Duties or Customs Fees into our prices - these duties can be paid on arrival. Contact your country’s Customs Department for information on their policies and rates. Thanks for your understanding of the potential costs involved.

・Oberon Design cannot be responsible for shipping costs associated with returns or exchanges unless it was our goof-up.

・Returns are not accepted on Custom Orders, Archive Specials or for items purchased on our Special Deals and Collectibles page unless there is a mistake on our part.

・Gift Cards are not returnable, nor are they redeemable for cash (except in accordance with California Law for remaining balances under $10.00)

Return requests must be made within 4 weeks of receiving your order. Products must be returned in the same condition and packaging you received them in along with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) within 2 weeks of receiving the RMA.  This is your mean Aunt Marge speaking, “Orders returned without the RMA, or an incomplete RMA will languish indefinitely until one of us has time to contact you!”

Procedures for Returns:

1- Request an RMA by emailing us at sales@oberondesign.com. Please include your Name and Order Number along with the reason for the return.  Your request will be reviewed, and an RMA issued.

2- Send your return item and a copy of the RMA to: Oberon Design  3500 N. Laughlin Rd. Suite 102,  Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

3- Once we receive the items and process the return, you will receive an email notification of your refund or store credit (gift card). 

Please note, we can only refund the original payment method. 

*If the item was a GIFT, a gift credit for the value of the return can be issued to your email address. Be sure to check the GIFT box on the RMA form.

NOTE for Exchanges: To exchange an order, return your item for a refund following the procedures listed above. Then purchase the new/exchange item(s) at your convenience. If you need help with the new/exchange order, let us know.  We are happy to help.

IMPORTANT! If we don't receive the package, or you don't include the RMA form, we cannot process the return/refund. Please choose a reliable shipping method that you can track (consider insuring the package), and include all the forms and parts.

Product Information

We want you to be very happy with your purchase from Oberon Design.  We fully guarantee all our products against defective workmanship or
materials. 

In the case of a defect in workmanship or materials, we will repair your product where possible or replace it if a repair isn't possible.

Our guarantee does not cover issues resulting from normal wear and tear or abnormal abuse of products.

Leather Disclaimer:Leather is a natural material, not meant to reflect a perfect surface. You should expect to see evidence of the life of the animal!

We do not consider any of these conditions as defects:

- Small scars or scratches in the leather.

- Light streaks or spots where the dye color didn’t completely saturate wrinkles on the hide.

- Slight inconsistencies of light or black areas where the image was burned into the leather.

- Slight variations in dye lots of leather and fabric are typical. 

- Color. Your cover or bag may not exactly match the color you see on your computer monitor. 

Color disclaimer: Leather is a natural material. Variation in grain, texture and color are bound to occur. The product photos on our site are representative only and may not exactly match what you will see in real life. We do not have a store front here at the workshop. However, our products can be found at a couple retail stores in our area; Artisana, on Main Street in Sebastopol and Corrick’s on Fourth Street in Santa Rosa.

That said, for local orders from the website, you may arrange a curb-side pick-up of your order.

Use the code localWillCall in the GIFT CARD field in checkout.

Then, once you order is ready, we’ll give you a call to arrange a time for you to come by the shop to pick it up curb-side.

Customizations

Why yes. We are able to accommodate requests for alternate color and/or button combinations for a $25 customization fee on a selection of our products. For more information Click Here for the Custom Combination Page.

Please note these details about the method to the madness -

Buttons: Journal buttons (with the leather thong closure) and the buttons used on our Tech Device covers and Women's Wallets are very different in design and construction and are not interchangeable.

Images: For most of our product line, the image tooling plates are product specific, meaning that each product has a specific tooling pattern made for each image offered on that product. For example, there are over 50 tooling plates for the Large Journals and over 50 for the Small Journals and 20 something for the Pocket Notebook cover, and so on…
In some cases we are able to use a single image tooling plate on several different products, and to be honest, we try to do so wherever possible for feasibility’s sake.
If you don’t see an image design offered in your product category, in all probability this means that we don't have that capability.

Colors: Over the years we’ve learned that most image designs are very popular in one or two colors, maximum and offer those colors as the standard color choice options. This helps our customers avoid color choices that are inappropriate or in the case of dark colors, render the image difficult to see, etc. We may also limit the color choice because we find that the image is impossible to successfully produce in a challenging color.

We’re sorry, we do not do custom one-off creations or ground up builds. The set up process for a single item is too expensive! If you’d like to purchase our goods in large quantities for a special project or event, please contact us with your information at sales@oberondesign.com and we’d be happy to discuss it with you.

Payments

If you have a valid discount code, be sure you are using it in the Discount Code field on theCART page (not the Gift Card code field in checkout).

The long and the short of it is this; the sales tax in the transaction is based not on your address but on where Oberon is determined to have a physical presence in your state (in Tax law terms, a “nexus”).

In our case this is based on our registration in your state being tied to an Amazon fulfillment center (yep, because we also sell our products on Amazon, we are considered to be physically present wherever Amazon has a fulfillment center).

If you haven't seen this on orders from other online companies yet, it is either that they don't have a "physical presence" in your state, or they may be combining all those Tax points into one "sales tax" line, or they aren't yet in compliance.
