da Vinci

da Vinci Journal for all who emulate Leonardo

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 - May 2nd 1519) was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer whose genius epitomized the Renaissance humanist idea.

I am open to knowledge and all forms of creative activity. I hold no fixed view of my limitations but by necessity take life in hand, expressing in paint, wood, stone and metal what my thoughts envision. I am both author & architect of my inventions documenting in countless journals. A humanist, I love beauty and ingenuity. I eat no flesh and abhor cruelty to animals. I am, by all accounts, kind and embody an abiding reverence for life.
