I was stumped on what cover to get, and...read moreI've dreamed of owning an Oberon Design Journal cover since I was young and stumbled upon them, now with my big adult money I am so happy to be supporting artisan crafts and going back to a more "analog" life style. I was stumped on what cover to get, and even had the team a little stumped with a crazy custom order! They were very gracious, kind, and always communicated clearly. I do feel bad that my excitement possibly caused some stress, but I am infinitely more happy I went with what they personally curate and recommend. The daffodil window is gorgeous, the leather for the daffodil is supple and I love feeling the engraving. The black leather around it is sturdy, feels nice in the hands, and will age very nicely as I write my short stories.
I am experimenting with different inserts since the one given doesn't really lay flat, the maximum depth a notebook can have is 2cm. This is handy since the best paper is international and will have that information more ready (and don't be like me and think an insert must be 5.5 x 8.5 the cover is at maximum 6x9!) the insert given is nice since you can start using the beautiful cover right away!
I am in love with this journal, I know what I would be asking for the gift season!
