Absolutely beautiful

I got the dark chocolate forest cover and it looks like tree bark, and it is so beautiful. The craftsmanship is also impeccable, and I look forward to ordering from Oberon again!

I love these covers as they add a book like feel to your Ereader. So when I purchased a kindle paper white the Oberon cover was a must have accessory. I’m happy with my choice love the color and quality of the outside of the cover. My only issue is with the reader retaining bands on the inside. The original nook cover employed leather straps on three of the corners and an elastic strap on the fourth. The kindle cover has four thick elastic straps one on each corner. While they hold the reader firmly in place they aren’t as esthetically pleasing as the leather straps and the top right strap is placed over the exit x on book reviews that pop up when finishing a read. Meaning I have to push the strap to the side to dismiss the page not a huge issue but enough for me to rate it 4 instead of 5 stars.

I chose “Forest” in the chocolate...read moreI’ve heard of the beauty and quality of Oberon products since I got my Kindle 1 in 2008 (“The Refrigerator”), and after all these years of various Kindle upgrades, I thought it was time to try out an Oberon cover for my Kindle 11. I chose “Forest” in the chocolate color. Beautiful! When I received it, I had answers to my questions: * Is the Kindle protected from torque and things pressing on the screen when in a backpack? (Yes. There are removable cardboard stiffeners slotted in the front and back of the cover, which with the leather gives the reader plenty of protection. The sleep/wake magnet is on the front cardboard piece, so if you choose to remove that, the sleep/wake function will no longer work) * Does the pewter button get caught on things? (No) * Does the cover stay open when lying on a flat surface? (Yes) * Does the cover prop up on a flat surface and stay open on its own? (Yes, easily when reading in portrait. When reading in landscape like I usually do, it will not stay propped open on a smooth surface like a table, but it will when on something rougher, like a tablecloth) * Does the cover stay open in landscape while on a bookstand when reading hands-free? (Yes, no problem. I also appreciate that the closure is the small bungee rather than a strap of some sort. It fits so much better on a bookstand) * Does the bulk or the weight of the cover bother me, as I usually favor slim hard covers? (The jury is still out. This cover certainly is big and heavy) * Are the elastic corner holders durable? (They are very strong. I don’t anticipate breakage or stretching out of shape or unraveling being a problem. I am using the button closure elastic only when I take the reader out of the house. Extras of those bungee fasteners are enclosed in the order) * Do the corner holders obscure any part of the screen? (No) * Is the power button or charging port obscured while in the cover? (No) So with all my questions answered, I love this cover! Well worth the investment. And a great shout-out to the wonderful Amy in Customer Service who kindly helped me with a problem.

Beautiful

Arrived very quickly and it is exactly what I've come to expect from Oberon - gorgeous, quality leather with that heavenly scent, a depth to the image that invites you in, and feels great to hold.

Protect your investment. These covers are well with the extra money. Beautiful to look at and hold while providing the protection you will need. This is my fifth cover from Oberon Design. I would not go with anything else. Highly recommended!
