United StatesReceived this beautiful hair clip very quickly, well-packaged, with very little plastic (just the bits on the envelope it comes in) which I appreciated very much. Gorgeous and just like the photo. Only mild issue is that I ordered a size 70 since my hair is quite fine, but didn’t think about that my hair is quite long (like mid-back). So I maybe could have benefited from the large clip to really securely hold my hair, but that’s really on me not considering my hair length - just a suggestion to those with longer hair to go for bigger clips. It still holds my hair beautifully, I just may have to re-do it a couple times throughout the day, which is no big deal. Came with an adorable charm. Very happy with my purchase.

United StatesIt is beautiful. However, it fits too loosely. I bought it as a replacement for a lost one - same model. The lost one was a bit loose and the new one is even looser. Is there a way to adjust them to fit tighter?
Totally. (thank you for being in touch with customer service) Typically when we hear that a barrette is too loose, particularly compared with another model of the same size, this is due to the barrette having flattened out a bit. The barrette should have a gentle curve to it. You can easily fix the issue by gently curving the barrette again. That will close up that space between the tension bar and the closure bar, making it tighter on the hair. As to the nature of the beast: Britannia Metal (pewter) is a relatively soft metal and will be flexible enough to adjust slightly with a bit of pressure. This is desirable for accessory pieces like barrettes, which are used in any number of ways and put under a lot of tension (depending on how much hair is added for a given hair-do). By the way, this is also why we haven’t riveted the barrette mechanism to the decorative Metal piece… so that there is some flexibility in movement. Of course, like anything else, with enough pressure and force, bending it completely will break it. Creating gentle pressure over the entirety of the piece is the best way to bring it back to the gentle cure it is meant to have. I hope this is helpful.
United StatesBefore I found Oberon Design and its large and sturdy hair clips, I was having to force my long hair into the largest barrettes I could locate at the drug store. The barrettes didn’t work. They weren’t secure, would pull my hair and within a week would snap/break. Out of frustration, I went searching online. I found Oberon Design. The clips are more expensive, yes, but I have purchased more of their hair clips only because I love how sturdy they are, how well they hold my hair and how beautiful they are. I much prefer to buy quality over quantity. As an end note, the packaging is lovely (would make a great gift) and shows just how much pride Oberon takes in their product.
