  • Button and Leather thong closure, hand cast in our Oberon metal casting shop.
Journals - Large 6 x 9 inches or Small 5 x 6.875 inches
  • Book Insert included: blank, hardbound, unlined, made with recycled, heavy bond, acid free paper with a lined template sheet for straight lined writing. Simply place the template behind the page as you write. The bold lines show through just enough.
  • Book Insert size: Large 5.5 x 8.5 inches with 208 pages / Small 4.25 x 6.25 inches with 220 pages
  • Weight with book in cover:Large 1.6 lb / Small .80 lb.
  • Large Journal is a great fit for standard A5 size notebook fillers. (*A5 standard international paper size – 5.8 x 8.3 inches / 148 x 210 mm. *Dimensions vary slightly between "standard" A5 notebooks. A notebook that is similar to these dimensions will work, just make sure that the spine isn't too deep (7/8 inch or less).

Large Notebook Covers vs Large Journals. What is the difference?

Our full grain custom tanned domestic bullhide is drum dyed for a rich saturated color. It has a medium firm temper which will get soft and supple with use, while still keeping it's structured shape.

Small healed scars, bites and stretch marks may be visible and are evidence of the life of the cow. These perfect imperfections are part of what makes your leather piece unique and beautiful.

Please note, variations in lighting, photography, screen settings and dye lots do occur. These photos are representative only and may not exactly match what you will see in real life. Please make your color choice with a generous spirit. - Curious or particular about colors? We recommend ordering a Leather Color Sample Swatch Set.

Normal production time for a Leather Cover is 3-5 weekdays (more time may be needed for personalized orders or during the height of the holiday season).

    Quality is Beautiful

    I have purchased many Oberon products over the years and they never disappoint. Even my older covers are still in great condition. I use them for journals, Kindle covers etc. I think my first purchase was at the Ren Fairre in Agoura. I especially like that I can get the journal fillers from Oberon.

    ANOTHER GREAT OBERON PRODUCT

    I lucked out when I was on the Oberon web site two days before the May 8th deadline and seized the opportunity to buy the "Cat in Window" journal. Yo can not go wrong, because every one of the Oberon products are "five star," but this one is "five star plus!"

    Beautiful and long lasting!

    I'm a cat person who loves to journal. I've had an Oberon leather journal with a horse on it for more than 20 years. It still looks like new and I use it daily. When I saw the cat in the window, I have to have that journal cover. I just love it. The leather is the best quality and the etched design is perfect. I love both journal covers. Now, I switch off between the two.

    East coast girl loves west coast leather!!

    I love the quality and artist design of this company. My first purchase was in 2001 and it still holds its beauty. These leather products make an excellent gift for someone special.
